2024 SCHOLARSHIP

We are excited to announce our second year of offering financial support to our active youth members who are graduating from high school in 2024 and attending a college or trade/technical school!

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Students connected to the Cathy Hudgins Community Center are invited to apply.

Please see below to apply by filling out the online application, and submitting the following items:

• A 300-word essay: “What Does Community Mean to You”
• Submit two signed letters of recommendation (by a teacher,
counselor, employer, religious or community leader)
• Online Application

Students will be interviewed by members of Friends of Southgate Community Center.

The amount of the scholarships will be between $500 and $1000 which will be determined by the vote

and the number of scholarships awarded. The funds will be sent directly to the institution or trade school.

The award(s) will be presented at Cathy Hudgins Community Center at Southgate in May/June 2024.

Friends of Southgate Community Center, Inc. is a fully accredited 501c3 non-profit
organization dedicated to serving the users and supporting the staff of the Cathy Hudgins
Community Center at Southgate Community Center (CHCCSG) by financially assisting
the Cathy Hudgins Community Center at Southgate Community Center Advisory
Council's mission is to support programming at the Center and increase the community's
awareness of and engagement with CHCCSG.
